Urge Your MP to #GetTheBanDone
The Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill is due its Second Reading in the House of Commons on 22nd March, and we need your support to help make sure this Bill becomes law.
This long-awaited legislation has the potential to be world-leading and protect many species from the devastating impacts of trophy hunting.
Despite repeated Government promises to ban the import of hunting trophies, in the almost nine years since the horrific killing of Cecil the Lion by an American trophy hunter in Zimbabwe at least 60 more lions and hundreds of individual animals from many other species have been killed by British trophy hunters.
We need your help. Please write to your MP and urge them to:
• Attend the Second Reading of the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill on 22nd March 2024, and vote in favour of the Bill.
• Speak up for wild animals by supporting and defending the legislation against any opposition to ensure it remains as strong as possible.
With your help, we can make 2024 the year we finally see an end to the UK’s role in trophy hunting.
